Englewood Technical Prep Academy (Chicago) or sometimes referred to as simply Englewood High School (Chicago), part of the Chicago Public School system, served the Englewood community on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. The school graduated its last class of 151 students in June 2008. The school was closed as an action in the CPS Renaissance 2010 program. There are two new schools currently using the same building: Urban Prep Charter Academy for Young Men and Team Englewood. The exact location of the campus is +41° 46' 52.61", -87° 38' 4.38

Many reasons were put behind closing this school. This was one of the worst performing Public Schools in the US for end of 2008. List for Reference. They also had a shooting back in 2002. Fox News Coverage

Before closing, this school was a participant in one of the oldest rivalries in the United States against Hyde Park Career Academy. [1]
